In context to our current school education system, it is imperative that we offer our children alternate, progressive and sustainable career options which could help them stay both relevant and ahead of times. Our students and young learners should be able to adopt and adapt themselves to the fast changing world dynamics in the present century and in the years to come.

Who can perceive, how this world will look 25 years down the lane. A child entering formal education system today will get ready to face the same world after 20 years from now. If we cannot predict what stays relevant and what goes obsolete 25 years from now, how can we prepare a child for that unforeseen and unpredictable future? Is our education system sustainable enough to stay relevant to the changing times?

The answer is Yes, only if we adopt and adapt to new technology, take new initiatives and prepare our children not just to learn, but to unlearn and relearn again without much resistance.

I am pleased to know that Arunodaya Public School, Dantewada is one such institution which has adopted change and advancement as the edifice on which the foundation of its learning and new initiatives are built. It is institution which gives strives for new initiatives in the field of education for its students and ensures to take the risks of following dreams with passion.

The decision to introduce Health Care Management as a optional course for its students in Grade IX , is a well thought plan and comes at a very right moment for its students.

Healthcare management is one of the most exciting and enriching fields which is changing and evolving at a very fast pace.

In the present situation, since the whole world is struck by the Global Covid-19 pandemic, Arunodaya has foreseen the times lies ahead of it, and has taken a step forward to prepare its students, for such courses, by which they not only would be able to create a great career for themselves but also would contribute hugely to the World’s Healthcare Management professionals’ growing demand in the coming years. A child entering a Healthcare Management course today will come out with the relevant knowledge and degree 5 years from now, which would be a perfect time when the demand for such professionals would be high and bagging a respectable and financially lucrative career opportunities would be high.

I remember the days when studying Health Care Management at Indian Institute of Healthcare Research, Jaipur. We were a batch of 60 students in our college, and today, I am proud to say that every individual in my Batch is now a healthcare professional in India and around the world and very successful in their own areas of career, helping the people and the community stay strong and revive from this global pandemic.

As a Healthcare Professional myself, now in United Kingdom, I realize and agree more strongly, how talented and technically sound professionals are needed who are ready for the change and will make significant contributions to healthcare scenario, in particular to the current situation which is getting worse by each passing day, still our front line Clinical & Non Clinical practitioners are standing tall to fight all odds serving the patients and the people at large.

There is a huge demand of Healthcare Management professionals, be it Public or Private Hospitals or Global organisations like WHO & United Nations with various projects across the globe, to local NGOs and Govt. healthcare projects and this why we need to encourage our children into Healthcare Management and other ancillary courses from the school days itself to support them make better career choices and decisions.

I wish the Institution all the very best for taking this initiative and introducing HealthCare Management as a course for its children, which will surely give a big boost to their career choices, serve as a great support to the society and the humanity as a whole.

Given an opportunity, I will surely visit the Institution upon my next visit to India to meet the students and personally thank the Management for their initiative and Vision.
