We offer a broad, balanced and creative curriculum for our Key stage 1 students (Age 3 Years to 5 Years)

The toddler academic program emphasizes on the basic values of the society. The purpose of pre-primary education is to promote children’s growth into humane individuals and ethically responsible members of the society by guiding them towards responsible action and compliance with generally accepted rules and towards appreciation of other people. The core task of pre-primary education is to promote children’s favorable growth, development and learning opportunities. It involves supporting and monitoring physical, psychological, social, cognitive and emotional development preventing any difficulties that may arise. The emphasis is on 4 R’s i.e. Reading, Writing, rhythmic and arithmetic.

Parents Information

Each month the school conducts parent’s teacher meeting to discuss about your child’s progress and development in school and in general. Such meets allows parents to speak clearly about their child’s growth and issues if any pertaining to the child in its environment. The school also gets an opportunity to inform parents and update them about child’s behavior and progress at school and also to appreciate the academic and overall achievement of the child.

Preprimary Grades- Key stage-1

Admissions for preprimary grades are strictly age specific. Students willing to take admission in Grade Nursery should be strictly of 2.6 Years of minimum age as of September of the preceding year. Subsequent classes will follow accordingly.

Each Arunodaya School Prospective parents must take the following steps to complete the application process.

1. Parent Visit: Prospective parents can visit individually or in groups for private tour of the school. The tour can be scheduled directly by contacting our school office at the numbers mentioned in the contact us Page or by registering for a tour by clicking here on the link below.

2. Application: Interested families must submit an application for their child, with attention to: Admissions.

Parents seeking for their child admission should fill in the application form which can be either downloaded or collected from the school office upon paying a nominal application fees.

Application form completed by all means is to be submitted along with the admission fees at the school office or online before the last date of submission which is published from time to time. Incomplete application forms will not be entertained and informations provided should match with the corresponding documents submitted at the time of admission.

3. Parent Interview/Student Visit: Applicants to the Preprimary Programs: Prospective parents and students meet privately with one of the Primary teachers for an informal discussion of classroom procedures, expectations, and objectives. Prospective students visit in one of the Primary classrooms for 20min to 1 hour while prospective parents are interviewed by the Director of Admissions or the Head of School or Coordinator. No formal assessment test is conducted or admissions into the Preprimary grades. Parents have to undergo a formal discussion with the Admissions counselor and upon approval from the principal/Authority, admission will be granted. It is important for the parents to come along with the child to be admitted before the admission is confirmed.

It is imperative for the school to understand the surrounding from which the child is currently being bought up. Hence admission is absolutely the discretion of the school principal/Authority and it cannot be challenged at any moment.

4. Notification: Decisions for admission are made on a rolling basis throughout the academic year as spaces are available. Parents will receive a response approximately two weeks after all required application materials have been submitted.

5. Waiting List: Information on the waiting list will be sent if needed.

Primary Grade- Key Stage- 2

The primary curriculum aims to provide a broad learning experience and encourages a rich variety of approaches to teaching and learning that cater for the different needs of children. The primary curriculum is designed to nurture the child in each dimensions of their life – Spiritual, moral, cognitive, emotional, imaginative, aesthetic, social and physical.

Student from Grade 1 to V focuses on developing foundation skills of creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking. The student will be engaged with the following activities.

  • Holistic development through Music, Arts, Dance and Drama lessons
  • Professional sports curriculum
  • Stress on academic and experiential learning through Robotics, Math lab, computer lab and activity centre
  • Personality development and spoken English through reading programs and language lab

Middle Grades- Key stage-3

We offer a broad, balanced and creative curriculum for our Key Stage 3 students-

Students are placed in groups consisting of different skill sets and talent levels. Project based learning and practical learning approaches keep them collaborated and synced together. Learning and teaching approaches at this level becomes comprehensive consisting of both practical and theoretical based, emphasizing on concept development, problem solving and critical thinking. Each child is assessed and put through various levels of challenges to judge their understanding and clarity of concepts.

Practical learning labs takes the forefront laying strong emphasis on learning by doing and finding solutions to the problems faced by themselves. A teacher acts as a facilitator ensuring of providing the right support and guidance during this time.

Usage of technology becomes evident during these years and the school promotes and supports the learners through various online course contents accessible after school hours.

High school Grade- Key stage- 4
